    Hello Dawn…

I just want to say thank you soo much for having the guts to write your story and also for keeping a diary in the first place..

You are really an inspiration to us all, whether one is living on the streets or has a career in the courtroom or like myself, a single mother with twin boys…you really inspire and make me realise that I too can achieve all that I set out to achieve if I would but only FOCUS and use the difficult times as learning experiences or better still as a process of ALCHEMY…which I believe is what all your numerous PAINFUL experiences did for you….

As you rightly said in your book, all this was for a reason and thank GOD that reason and purpose is being played out today….

Like JOB in the BIBLE, even though things got really bad, you never gave up hope in GOD and whether you were aware of it or not, YOU had a brilliant relationship with HIM, because you kept communicating with HIM and HE was right by your side through every painful experience you encountered…..

I am SORRY you had to feel all that pain but I am THANKFUL it was for a HIGHER REASON…
GOD bless you and thank you…

“I want to thank you for opening up the harsh side of prostitution. So often we see it glamorized on television, but you opened my eyes to the reality that we do not see. More important, you opened the door for me to be able to talk to my two teenage daughters about a subject that I’ve wanted to talk to them about but couldn’t find the appropriate way to bring it up. You are truly a blessing for all young people”

    “Hey Dawn,

I just wanted to make contact with you and say “thank you” for coming out and letting my chapter, SDSU, adopt you into our group! It’s not easy speaking to a group of “know-it-all” engineers. Some are not as on point as someone like yourself.

Sincerely speaking, we adored your presence, and I personally felt as if you were family.”

    “Dawn,

It was an incredible pleasure to meet you and your mom this past weekend. Both of you ladies are first-class people, and I am definitely motivated by both of your “testimonies” that each of you shared on Saturday night at dinner.

Thanks also for your kindness in snapping the pictures for everyone. You are already exhibiting the “ABM” strategy!”

Thanks so much for the powerful force in my life. You took me under your wing.. and there are no words to express my gratitude. Since the day I have met you, I have been living well…”

    “Dawn,

Of all the teleconferences that we have done, “How Young is Prostitution” is the one that people actually still call in for help. I wanted you to know that you played a major part in this, and we appreciate you for that.”

“Dawn taught me to stop living my life as a victim! The first time I asked Dawn to coach me; she turned me down because she said I wasn’t ready! When I finally convinced her that I was ready to change, she took my self-esteem to a place I never imagined! I now know how to establish and maintain successful relationship with my family and friends, and I owe it all to Dawn.”

    John Heber

    San Francisco, California

“Dawn’s willingness to expose her life for the sole purpose of saving teenagers from the streets sets precedence for the term “mentoring”. I commend this young lady for allowing her belief in God to sustain her through what some would consider horrific circumstances and prevail into the dynamic speaker known as The Self Esteem Queen. This book should be a part of every junior high curriculum across the United States.”

    • I was truly captivated by [this] book. I just couldn’t put it down and I was sad when it ended.
First off thank you God for never letting Dawn give up on life no matter how challenging her childhood was. I was truly captivated by her book, I just couldn’t put it down and I was sad when it ended. [Dawn’s] book is a living journal of ones life from a hard life to an even harder life Dawn never gives up thus I see why Dawn’s so passionate about everything that she does today!
It just goes to show you once again that God wants & uses ordinary everyday people and transforms them into spectacular people if they just give Him a chance.
Dawn is a walking, breathing example of His greatness in this cold, dark & cruel World we live in today and we thank Him for that.

    • Dawn,

I am elated to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your book.  It pulled at every emotion that I have; from laughter to sadness and everywhere in between.  No matter the situation, you always seemed to have a positive outlook in the end, which displays strong and undying faith and belief in God!  Your journey has made you a stronger person and has equipped you with the knowledge and experience needed to help others.

You are an inspiration and a living testament that through it all… God is STILL good.  Thank you for sharing your story!

Dawn, Thank you for sharing your past and present with all the World. Your book is phenomenal.
I could not put it down. I read it in one day and it’s already in the hands of another interested reader! The journey you made to get to where you are is such a testimony to your strength. From molestation, selling drugs, being suicidal, emotional neglect from people you loved, being homeless, losing your best friend, being a prostitute/ escort, institutionalized against your own will….. AND THEN to become a college graduate, Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, and the HARRIET TUBMAN of teen prostitutes is your calling.
I’m anticipating your next book eagerly. I am honored to have had the opportunity to meet you. I am inspired by your grace. The closure you are now having with the great bond between your {family members} is God’s Favor. Self Esteem Queen, thank you for TRUTH!

Love you!! I appreciate you for being able to tell her story as well as being strong and a front runner against these type of things. I’ll have my book club put this on the roster for the next month or so… The story must be told.
